Kuban chess players won 6 medals at the Southern Federal District championships

Chess players from the Krasnodar region won 6 medals at the championships of the Southern Federal District. Competitions in classical, rapid chess, blitz and solving chess compositions were held in Rostov-on-Don. In total, almost 400 athletes took part in the tournaments, including grandmasters, international masters and FIDE masters.

Vice-Governor of Kuban Alexander Vlasov emphasized that representatives of the Krasnodar Territory won 6 awards, including 2 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes. The best result was shown by David Zakaryan from Sochi, who has gold for blitz, silver for rapid chess and bronze for classical chess.

In the chess composition solving competition, Vladimir Kashirsky and Yaroslav Dektyarev won second and third place. Among the juniors in this category, Artyom Yakovenko from Krasnodar took gold.

Earlier, MK in Kuban wrote that gymnasts from the Krasnodar region won bronze in the team competition at the national championship.
