Kuban boxers won 21 awards at the SFD Championship

Athletes from the Krasnodar Territory won 21 awards at the boxing championship of the Southern Federal District. Boxers from 19 to 40 years old from 8 subjects of the country participated in the competition. Kuban was represented by 26 athletes at the tournament.
The championship was held in 25 weight categories. Among the best boxers are athletes from the Kuban capital, who won 8 medals. Anapchane also showed an excellent result, taking 4 awards, 3 medals were won by boxers from the Krasnoarmeisky municipality, 2 awards were taken by representatives of the Tikhoretsk municipality. Athletes from Tuapse, Gelendzhik, Slavyansk-on-Kuban and Armavir managed to earn one medal each. In total, Kuban boxers took home 11 gold medals, 3 silver and 8 bronze.
“The high level of training of Kuban boxers is ensured by professional coaching staff and a strong material and technical base. This allows our athletes to achieve high results at competitions of various levels – from district and all-Russian to international competitions, including world championships and the Olympic Games,” Serafim Timchenko, Minister of Sports of Kuban, emphasized.
