KSUFKST students won the rugby tournament in Kislovodsk

Kislovodsk hosted the Complex All-Russian competitions in the Olympic discipline rugby-7. Boys under the age of 25 could take part in the tournament.
In total, 9 student teams from different universities of Russia took part in the final stage of the tournament, 2 represented Krasnodar.
The main favorite of the tournament, the team of the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, confirmed its class.
At the group stage, in the first match, Krasnodar beat KBSU from Nalchik – 34:7, then defeated the Perm Perm State University with an even larger score – 55:7.
In the final stage, the Kuban team played a draw 19:19 with the Kazan PGUFKSiT, but then inflicted a crushing defeat on the Makhachkala DGPU with a score of 47:0 and finished first. The second place belongs to the Kazan team, the third place belongs to the Dagestan team.
Previously KSUFKST rugby-7 team won All-Russian Summer Universiade.
The second team from Krasnodar at the tournament in Kislovodsk was the team of the Kuban State Technological University. In the first match of the group, they lost to SibGUFK from Krasnoyarsk (0:45), in the second they fought PGUFKSiT, losing with a goal difference of 12:19.
In the final stage, two victories over Volgograd VolGAU (35:7) and PSNIU (41:0) allowed Krasnodar to finish the tournament in 7th place.
