TV presenter and blogger Ksenia Sobchak apologized on her Telegram channel to the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, for the actions of her colleagues, who became defendants in a high-profile extortion case. Recall that earlier the Tverskoy Court of Moscow arrested until December 24 the ex-head of Tatler Arian Romanovsky and the commercial director of the company “Caution Media”, owned by Ksenia Sobchak, Kirill Sukhanov. Also, journalist Tamerlan Bigaev was arrested in the case, who is believed to have been one of the administrators of the Telegram channel, through which money was allegedly extorted from Chemezov.
Sobchak notes in his statement that the defendants are now in a pre-trial detention center and serious charges have been brought against them.
“There is no political context here. I know that the guys sincerely regret what happened,” the TV presenter said.
According to her, now their fate will be decided by the court and she believes that law enforcement agencies will show “sympathy and leniency”.
“I sincerely regret that the actions of my colleagues harmed Sergey Viktorovich Chemezov, I apologize to him,” Sobchak wrote at the end of her short message.
