After all, everything will already be there as it should be – snow, ski tracks, equipment, frostbitten fingers and taped noses. But roller skiing is not just “some kind of fun, but work.” This is what Anton Babikov says, and other leaders, and not only others, are ready to confirm.

I just shot my first round of the Commonwealth Cup in Sochi. Anton Smolsky and Victoria Slivko had a blast there: the former did not waste time on trifles and took all the gold, and Vika took a medal of each color. And now, however, without the Belarusians, the Russian summer championship ran in Tyumen.

A sprint wouldn’t be a sprint without creating intrigue. The current Russian champion at this distance at the beginning of the race, Pyotr Paschenko, went into the final lap with a 12-second advantage, followed by Anton Babikov, and third by Eduard Latypov (he had to win back 18 seconds).

Latypov is always a headache for his opponents. (At the Commonwealth Cup stage, Latypov accelerated during the competition, won two silver medals and was sixth once.) 700 meters before the finish, he had to win back 5.7 seconds from Paschenko.

And – to be honest, I came up with the idea of ​​leaving for the sake of words or whether it all really happened, it doesn’t matter at all. He confirmed his title, made his opponents falter, and runs on.

And the Bashkortostan team, for which Ilya Burlakov, Anton Babikov, Alexander Babchin and Eduard Latypov competed, won the relay race. And again, you couldn’t say better than Babikov (in the sprint, by the way, he came third) again: “Eduard likes to kill the intrigue. There was intrigue until the last stage, but then there was none.”

In second place in the women’s relay race was the KhMAO-Yugra-1 team (Kristina Reztsova, Ekaterina Noskova, Alina Kudisova, Elizaveta Kaplina), a gap of 14.1 seconds (1 + 16). In third place is the Tyumen region (Ksenia Shneider, Ulyana Nigmatullina, Elena Kruchinkina, Victoria Slivko) +24.8 (0+6).

Even after the sprint, in which she became third, Irina spoke about clean shooting, that she was dissatisfied with the way she did not make up the lost 7 seconds, making two mistakes. And “shooting can always be better.” That’s right.

The victory in the 7.5 km roller sprint race was won by Elizaveta Kaplina, who made one mistake. In second place is Anastasia Goreeva, who also had only one miss, her loss to the leader was only 1.7 seconds.

The loser Nastya suggested that “this is probably a good result.” And she revealed the tactics: I won’t say that I ran to the best of my ability – I had a reserve, I was preparing to shoot, unfortunately, I missed the last shot, I was in a hurry.”

And also, Kristina Reztsova returned to our biathlon after the birth of her second child. And it seems Christina has returned in a good mood. She says that the emotions are only positive, although in the first race she was not in the top 20 (two misses, +2.23.8). “My goal was to run, get high, be in this atmosphere, enjoy. Yes, it was hard, I didn’t plan to start here, but I decided that the best training was competition.” He also believes that by the winter starts, “everything will be 100%.” And he is going to start from the first stage of the Russian Cup. “I’m targeting December.”
