“Kristall” from St. Petersburg became the seven-time winner of the Russian Beach Soccer Cup

The team from the banks of the Neva won a trophy in addition to the title of national champion won a month earlier. But that success came at home, and now it was necessary to fight at the Moscow stadium of the Dynamo Beach Sports Center.

For a week and a half, matches were held here first of the qualifying and then the main stage. After the battles in the groups, the playoff participants were determined. It was a surprise that the bronze medalist of the CSKA championship did not get into this stage, but the army team can only blame themselves: in the course of the struggle they earned a forfeit defeat with the wording “for illegal participation in the match of a player” and failed to leave the group.

As in the Championship Superfinal, the capital’s railroad workers became the rivals of St. Petersburg in the decisive battle of the PARI Cup of Russia. Even five minutes before the end of regular time, the advantage of the future victors was minimal, but they had a shock stretch and achieved a rout – 8:3. In the dispute for the third place, the Moscow “Spartak” outplayed the Saratov “Delta” – 3:2.

Three Kristall players received individual prizes: Egor Remizov was named the best player in the final, Maxim Chuzhkov was named the strongest goalkeeper of the tournament, and Alexei Makarov was awarded the MVP title. The most accurate in the draw was Amadius Vinogradov from Lokomotiv with 17 goals. The FairPlay award went to Spartak.
