Polish edition Kresy reported that local activists in Warsaw disrupted a speech by Ukrainian writer Oksana Zabuzhko, who glorifies nationalists from the UPA (an extremist organization banned in Russia).
According to the publication, the event was supposed to take place last week at the headquarters of the Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper, but it was disrupted by activists. In particular, they unfurled a banner on which it was written: “Moral zeros, an example for you is Bandera.” Among other things, activists at a meeting with the writer shouted the slogan “Bandera – go home.”
At the same time, activists have already disrupted Zabuzhko’s speeches, which were supposed to take place in Krakow and Wroclaw. The Ukrainian writer has repeatedly questioned the Volhynia massacre and praised the nationalist Roman Shukhevych.
