Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet decided on the timing of the announcement of a new message to the Federal Assembly, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
“The President has not yet decided on the timing of the announcement of the message,” he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).
Earlier TASS, with reference to data in the presentation of the exhibition-forum “Russia” reportedthat Putin may deliver a message to the Federal Assembly in March 2024. According to the agency, the president’s message is scheduled between March 11 and March 17.
In 2023, Putin addressed parliament on February 21. During his speech, the president touched upon geopolitical issues, thanked the participants in the special operation in Ukraine and raised issues of the development of new regions, modernization of the army and navy, and instructed to revise some norms of the Criminal Code on economic crimes.
The exhibition-forum “Russia” starts in Moscow tomorrow, November 4, and will last until April 12, 2024. Putin ordered the exhibition to be held in March of this year. The decree stated that this event was being organized to demonstrate Russia’s most important achievements in various sectors of the economy, including industry, energy, transport, science and culture.
