Earlier, Reuters, citing sources reportedthat Putin has allegedly decided to run in the elections in March 2024.

Presidential elections in Russia are scheduled for 2024. According to the law, the procedure takes place on the third Sunday in March, so next year the elections could take place on March 17. The CEC has already begun preparations for the elections, CEC Chairman Ella Pamfilova said earlier. The decision to call presidential elections is made no earlier than 100 and no later than 90 days before voting day. The Federation Council must announce the appointment of elections from December 8 to 18.

On September 12, Putin at the plenary meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) didn’t talk about participation in the presidential elections and suggested waiting for the parliament’s decision on the date of their holding.
