Kravtsov: new programs on history with sections on the military conflict in Ukraine sent to the Ministry of Justice

The head of the Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, said that he had already signed new history curricula for schoolchildren, they include a section on Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. According to him, now they are sent to the Ministry of Justice.
“Yes, it will definitely be in textbooks,” said Sergey Kravtsov in response to a relevant question from journalists (quoted from TASS).
Earlier, Russian officials and politicians have repeatedly announced plans to update school programs and history textbooks. They proposed to include in the books a section on the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
In September, the Ministry of Education amended the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES). According to the document, sections on the military operation in Ukraine will be included in school history curricula for grades 10-11. Teachers told Kommersant about their concerns, suggesting that the department wants to turn them into “political commissars.”
