Krasnoyarsk will host an international freestyle wrestling tournament for men and women. As they said on the website of the KSAU “Center for Sports Training”, athletes from 11 countries will take part in it.
Krasnoyarsk will host the Ivan Yarygin Cup. International competitions dedicated to the memory of the two-time Olympic champion will be held from January 26 to 29. The event will be attended by 300 athletes from 12 countries. Athletes from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan have confirmed their participation, athletes from Greece, Turkey, Morocco, Iran, Egypt, Serbia and Mongolia are also expected.
Wrestlers will compete in ten weight categories: men – 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86, 92, 97, 125 kg; women – 50, 53, 55, 57, 59, 62, 65, 68, 72, 76 kg.
Starting this year, sports competitions do not have the status of a Grand Prix, but are an open international tournament. Preparations for the tournament are in full swing.
Entrance is paid, the cost of tickets is available at the Sports Palace.
From 20 to 21 January Krasnoyarsk residents will be able to see open international snowboarding competitions.
