Krasnodar “Kuban” won the championship of Russia in beach rugby

On August 5-6, the Russian beach rugby championship among men’s and women’s teams was played in Moscow. The victory in the women’s part of the competition, where 8 teams competed, was won by Kuban from Krasnodar.
At the group stage, Maxim Amonov’s team first defeated Energia Kazan (12:0) and Slava Moscow (13:1), and then defeated their principal rival, Vityaz Perm. The result of the final match of the first game day is 5:3 in favor of the southerners.
In the semi-finals Krasnodar beat Zilant Kazan with a score of 7:2. In the decisive game, “Kuban” coped in a bitter struggle with “VVA-Podmoskovye” from Monino (4:3), having won the champion’s title. The third place was taken by Vityaz, beating Zilant with a score of 7:6.
Teams from the Krasnodar Territory did not compete in the men’s tournament. The team of the Samara region became the winner here.
