Kostroma bad luck: our Spartak lost for the fourth time in a row

Another game of Kostroma “Spartak” on their home field (that is, at the stadium “Harvest” in Karavaevo) again did not please our fans.

Despite the fact that this time our players played with the second team of the Moscow “Torpedo” (that is, the team is obviously weak, having just lost four meetings in a row), the case for the Kostroma “Spartak” again ended in an afront.

At the same time, in the first half, the Spartak team clearly prevailed on the field, attacked vigorously – and even almost opened the scoring (the crossbar saved the Torpedo team from Maksim Shirokov’s strike). But the start was not successful for the Kostroma team – Muscovite Maxim Danilin, passing along the left side, managed to hit the gate of our goalkeeper Bogdan Kuzmenko – 1:0.

In the second half, Alexei Usanov, a torpedo player, repeated his success – 2:0 in favor of the guests….

In the 84th minute Artemy Ukomsky from Kostroma managed to score against Torpedo’s goal with the help of Daniil Shabalin… but that was where the success ended: our red-and-whites failed to level the score until the end of the game.

The result is sad – after the first round in their subgroup, our Spartak team ended up in 10th place – and, in fact, lost their chances for promotion in the standings (those teams that take places from 1 to 6 will move to a higher division) .

Now only a miracle and the support of the fans can help our Spartak to rise to the coveted 6th place for the games of the second half of the autumn part of the Championship.
