Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov told what the first thing he asked doctors about after a coma. According to him, he asked if he could drive a motorcycle.
“This was my first question in the hospital to the surgeon: can I ride a motorcycle? He twirled his finger at his temple: “Roman, what are you thinking about, they barely saved your life, and you’re talking about a motorcycle,” he said during a speech at exhibition-forum “Russia”.
Kostomarov noted that losing the opportunity to ride a motorcycle was very bitter for him.
Let us remind you that Kostomarov was admitted to intensive care on January 10 due to pneumonia. The athlete’s condition worsened, he developed necrosis, which led to amputations. Kostomarov spent 175 days in the hospital and was discharged in July.
