The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that Crimea intends to restore water supply from the Dnieper through the North Crimean Canal in the future.
According to him, a “decision in principle” has already been made to reconstruct the dam of the Kakhovka reservoir, but it will be implemented as a result of a special military operation (SVO). As the official noted, during the period when there is no dam, Crimea could pump water into the canal from the Dnieper.
Konstantinov added that this also requires the restoration of water intake and pumping stations, as well as the necessary hydraulic engineering work. He concluded that the Crimean authorities plan to do this in the future.
