The Dzerzhinsky Court of St. Petersburg granted the investigation’s request and chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for Nikolai Konashenko, a resident of the Northern capital. He is charged with justifying terrorism.

For posts on social networks that law enforcement agencies considered to justify a terrorist act, Konashenok will remain in custody at least until May 25. At the same time, the arrested person refuses to admit guilt in the crime charged to him.

Konashenok had already earned himself 14 days of administrative arrest when, after a failed attempt to escape from Russia, he caused a brawl at the police department. The man “behaved inappropriately, shouted, waved his arms, used rude, obscene language,” scaring people.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov spoke sharply about those who gloat after the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall. The Kremlin speaker recalled that our entire country is going through a real tragedy, but there are scumbags who allow themselves to mock this misfortune.
