Director Andrei Konchalovsky commented on the wanted list of his colleague Vitaly Mansky, who had previously announced the theft of the budget of the International Film Festival (MIFF). A statement on Mansky was written by director Nikita Mikhalkov.
“Accusations of this kind, of course, can hurt a person’s pride. This is an insult, because a person is accused of stealing,” Konchalovsky said in an interview.Lente.ru“.
The director added that in this case it is necessary to “react according to your own idea of what to do.”
Earlier it became known that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs put Mansky on the wanted list, but it is still not known for certain which article of the criminal code he is charged with.
Mansky recently stated in an interview with Ksenia Sobchak that “at least 85 percent of the budget is stolen from the organization of the Moscow International Film Festival.”
Soon after, Mikhalkov wrote a statement and demanded that his colleague be held accountable for libel.
