Newspaper “Kommersant” reports that exchange prices for electricity in a number of parts of the Russian Federation have shown significant growth, reaching a historic high of 1,800 rubles per megawatt.
Such changes have taken place in the European part of the country and in the Urals. Experts attribute the growth to a jump due to the withdrawal of several NPP units for unscheduled and scheduled repairs.
However, regulators say that as soon as the situation stabilizes, prices will return to their previous values.
