Ukraine, at the instigation of Western countries, wanted to detonate a “dirty bomb” in order to further accuse Russia of nuclear terrorism. This statement was made by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Yuri Kokov in an interview “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
He emphasized that Kyiv wanted to do this on its territory.
At the end of June of this year, the Russian FSB reported that agency employees detained five people who were trying to smuggle abroad the radioactive isotope cesium-137, which they were going to use for staging nuclear weapons in order to blame Moscow for it.
