Klintsevich predicted Zelensky’s departure: the USA is not happy

Ukrainian President Zelensky, in the conditions that have developed after the failure of the big offensive, does not suit Washington, which is increasingly inclined to a truce in Ukraine. So says the head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts, Andrei Klintsevich.
“It is clear that Zelensky is the president of war,” Klintsevich said on the air of the “Full Contact with Vladimir Solovyov” program. – For him, a peaceful existence is impossible. He did too much for no one to even come to the negotiating table with him. Here we really need to reset and bring out a new person who will start some conversations.”
The political scientist recalled that ideas about peace negotiations are beginning to be introduced into Ukrainian society. In Ukraine, against the backdrop of enormous human losses, the conflict in society is growing between those who fight on the battlefield and those who “steal, fatten, buy new yachts.”
According to Klintsevich, the West, represented by various officials, is expressing versions about the further development of events in Ukraine. Thus, a report by the American RAND Corporation notes that a political settlement in Ukraine is more in line with the interests of the United States, because the alternative to this is a military confrontation between Russia and NATO, and this is a nuclear war. “They don’t need it, they need to earn money,” says Klintsevich. “That’s why the vision of the future seriously differs between Americans and Ukraine. And the main stumbling block is Zelensky, who is not ready to negotiate, but is ready to deceive the United States in order to somehow extract money. The conclusion is simple: either we change or we persuade.”
“I do not rule out that some political decisions will be made,” Klintsevich concluded.
