Singer Philip Kirkorov commented on his participation in Anastasia Ivleeva’s party, which took place in the Moscow club “Mutabor” with a dress code of “almost naked”. He stated that he “went through the wrong door” and did not know “the nature of the events that would take place behind that door.” According to him, he does not want “such an oversight” to become a reason for limiting his creativity in Russia.

“So I dropped in for five minutes at the event, and my name, as usual, thunders louder than others in one well-known story. It’s not very masculine to make excuses, so I’ll answer everyone at once. There are moments in every person’s life when they walked into the wrong door. Yes, I knew about the event, received an invitation, promised to come and came. But I didn’t know about the nature of the events that would take place behind these doors, and I left,” the singer said in video messagepublished in a group dedicated to his work on VKontakte.

Philip Kirkorov emphasized that he is not going to “renounce, distance himself or shift responsibility to others.” “In these difficult times, an artist of my caliber cannot and should not be so irresponsible about participating in any events. I am an artist only of my country, I am a patriot only of my country. I have never tried to sit on two chairs. I realize the mistake I made,” he added.

Following Philip Kirkorov, singer Dmitry Bilan commented on the party at Mutabor. He confirmed that he knew about the dress code, but everyone’s understanding of the “almost naked” style is different. “I couldn’t know in advance what others would allow themselves to wear. I perfectly understand the indignation of people, and especially the guys who protect us on the front line. I understand what the situation is now in our country,” said Dmitry Bilan. He also added that on December 5 he held a concert for the families of participants in the Russian military operation on the territory of Ukraine, so “he cannot be blamed for indifference.”

The party, organized by Anastasia Ivleeva, took place on the night of December 21 at the Moscow club “Mutabor”. In addition to Philip Kirkorov, the party was attended by Ksenia Sobchak, Lolita, Dzhigan and rapper Vacio (Nikolai Vasiliev). December 22 Lefortovo District Court arrested Vacio for 15 days and fined 200 thousand rubles. He was found guilty of petty hooliganism and LGBT propaganda.

Later Anastasia Ivleeva apologized for inconvenience caused by the appearance of the event participants. She also promised to donate proceeds from the sale of tickets to the party to charitable organizations.
