Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, asked the heads of municipalities to help and support the families of participants in the military conflict in Ukraine. As Mr. Kiriyenko clarified, his request applies to contract soldiers, and to mobilized, and to volunteers and career officers.
“I have a separate big request, which we will not solve without the heads of municipalities. It is very important for us that not a single family of participants in a special military operation is left without full-fledged help and support. We do not divide the guys into contract soldiers, mobilized, volunteers, career officers, they are all heroes – all participants in a special military operation, ”said Sergey Kiriyenko at the Municipal Dialogue marathon of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (TASS quote).
On September 21, President Vladimir Putin signed a law exempting participants in the military operation in Ukraine from personal income tax and insurance premiums. On October 22, the mobilized were granted a deferment in the payment of taxes and insurance premiums. According to a government decree adopted in January 2023, the insurance experience of mobilized and military personnel in a special operation is doubled.
