Kiriyenko: the ideological war will go longer than the military conflict in Ukraine

Russia will definitely win the conflict in Ukraine and achieve its goals, but even after the conflict is resolved, the ideological war will not end. This was stated by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko at the opening of the Digoria All-Russian Forum.

He noted that within the framework of the conflict in Ukraine there are “three wars”. According to him, the hostilities will end first, in which Russia “will definitely win.” The “economic war” will go on longer than the “hot” phase, Kiriyenko believes.

“But the longest, most difficult, the longest will be the war of meanings, the information-psychological and ideological war,” he said (quote according to TASS).

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. In response, Western countries imposed large-scale sanctions against the Russian Federation and began to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine. The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western equipment to Kyiv, noting the growth of direct and indirect involvement in the conflict of other countries.

During his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin declaredthat the West has deployed “not only a military, informational, but also an economic front” against Russia. He stressed that Western countries “have not achieved anything anywhere and will not achieve anything.”

Moscow has also repeatedly spoken about the information war being waged against Russia. Earlier today, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of Russia Sergey Naryshkin informedthat the US State Department set the task for the American media to convince the Russians of “the idea of ​​the need for a forceful struggle against the authorities, up to an armed rebellion.”
