Kirby: The United States does not yet see an opportunity to end the Ukrainian conflict on its own terms

At the moment, there is no way to end the conflict in Ukraine on terms that would suit the United States, said White House strategic communications coordinator John Kirby.
“Obviously that won’t happen right now,” noted Kirby, answering a question about resolving the conflict (quote from RIA Novosti).
Peace terms that would suit Washington include “respect for the sovereignty” of Ukraine, the withdrawal of Russian troops and the return of territory to Kyiv, Kirby added.
September 11 US Secretary of State Antony Blinken statedthat Kyiv will take part in the negotiations if Moscow shows such an initiative. He also added that the United States would follow Ukraine in this matter.
On October 4, 2022, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree refusing negotiations with Russia while Vladimir Putin is its president. On September 12, President Putin during the plenary session WEF called The US will cancel this decree if they believe that Ukraine is ready for negotiations.
The Kremlin regularly declares its readiness for negotiations. At the same time, at the end of 2022, Peskov emphasized that Russia will not follow other people’s conditions, as it is guided only by its own goals and common sense.
