Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong-un returned to the country after completing his visit to the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the North Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA).
The DPRK leader reportedly crossed the border on the morning of September 18. The report said that with his visit to Russia, Kim Jong-un “strengthened the bonds of camaraderie and friendship” and “opened a new page in the development of Korean-Russian relations.”
Kim Jong-un arrived in the Russian Federation on a visit for the first time since 2019. The visit began on September 12, and the next day negotiations between the North Korean leader and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place at the Vostochny cosmodrome.
Next, the head of the DPRK visited Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and then the Primorsky Territory, where he met with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Before leaving home, Kim Jong-un visited Russky Island. In total, during the visit, the North Korean leader’s train traveled more than 4 thousand kilometers along Russian railways.
