Russia’s special operation in Ukraine is a “sacred struggle” for the sake of protecting state sovereignty. This was stated by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Russia has now risen to a sacred struggle to defend its state sovereignty and defend its security,” he said.
According to Kim Jong-un, the Russian Federation is opposing hegemonic forces. He also expressed hope that the DPRK and Russia will work together “to fight against imperialism and for the construction of a sovereign state.”
September 13 Kim Jong-un Meets with Putin at the Vostochny cosmodrome. He arrived in Russia the day before. The meeting of leaders will also be attended by the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov and Deputy Prime Minister – Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Far Eastern District Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Ministers Denis Manturov and Alexey Overchuk, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and others. Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov also announced participation in the negotiations of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
The Kremlin said that Putin and Kim Jong-un will first discuss bilateral relations. As part of the full-scale visit, negotiations between the two delegations will take place, after which, if necessary, the leaders will continue to communicate one-on-one. An official dinner is also planned in honor of the guest from North Korea.
