Cosmonauts Anna Kikina and Andrei Fedyaev may not receive the title of Heroes of Russia
Russian cosmonauts Anna Kikina and Andrei Fedyaev may be left without the titles of Heroes of Russia. The fact is that they flew to the ISS on the American ship Crew Dragon. This opinion was expressed by cosmonautics historian Alexander Zheleznyakov. He is sure that in Russia flights on Soyuz are valued higher than on any other ships.
The expert recalled that similar incidents have already occurred in the history of Russian cosmonautics. In the period from 1998 to 2002, our specialists were included in flight programs on American ships. And Boris Morukov turned out to be the only cosmonaut who did not receive the title of Hero of Russia.
His colleague, Fedor Yurchikhin, also ended up in the American flight program. And he was awarded the title only after he went to the ISS on the Soyuz. However, Zheleznyakov’s thoughts somewhat destroy the Roscosmos data. The department’s website states that Valery Tokarev and Sergei Treshchev received the highest state awards after flying to the ISS on American shuttles.
