The confrontation in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra continues. Orthodox on Sunday celebrated Antipascha – Red Hill. This final day of Bright Week is also called the Second Easter. And the Greek prefix “anti” does not mean anything seditious, but only has the meaning “instead of” or “opposite.” That is, Sunday, standing in the week opposite Easter. On this day, one should rejoice and have fun, because this is the day of renewal. However, together with believers, the Lavra continues to attract all sorts of “inadequate” people who arrange provocations.

This time, not even a Ukrainian, but a Swiss priest became the victim of attacks. Dominik Milko, who serves as a reader in the St. Nicholas Church in Basel, arrived in Kyiv to express support for the believers of the UOC. And almost immediately I was confronted with what Ukrainian Orthodox see now almost daily. A certain warrior with a glassy look, in a red beret and a Ukrainian flag in his hands, went to the priest in a cassock. And he began to demand that the clergyman immediately take up the ensign. “If you love Ukraine, take the flag! Take the flag, quickly! – the aggressive young man pressed on the foreigner. He only smiled and humbly replied: “I love the Lord God.” “Speak Ukrainian!” – almost yelled warrior. The policemen had to drag him away from the foreigner, who tried to drum him into the “patriot” that the priest was from Switzerland, and therefore was not obliged to speak the language. As Ukrainian journalists found out, the stubborn “standard-bearer” is a certain Ruslan Hetman (Ruslan Robak) from Ternopil. Which back in 2018 was caught in fraudulent activities related to raising money for the needs of orphans. The volunteer simply robbed the kids, and now he is attacking the priests.

On the same day, the police also neutralized a certain demoniac lady who, barely standing on her feet, in a short dress, with circles under her eyes, for some reason rushed to the church of Agapit of the Caves, calling all the Orthodox with bad words. She called the police officers, who this time still tried to protect the rights of believers, “fat hogs,” but she nevertheless left the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, being taken out from there by a whole detachment.
