Kickboxers of Buryatia brought three medals from the championship of Russia

Athletes of Buryatia performed worthily in the Russian kickboxing championship and won three medals of various denominations. The sporting event was held at the Kuzbass Ice Palace in Kemerovo from 1 to 13 May.
According to the press service of the government of the Kemerovo region, the tournament brought together 1,500 participants from all over the country. From our republic, 12 people went to the championship.
The gold medal was won by Daria Shelopugina in the 55 kg weight category, who had three fights. In the first of them, she defeated the three-time winner of the Russian championship, and in the final she left no chance for the winner of the 2021 World Cup. By unanimous decision of the judges, she became the winner of the national championship.
Our other athlete, Anastasia Burdina, won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 50 kg. Having defeated her rivals from Novosibirsk and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug in the first and second rounds, in the semi-finals Nastya lost only one point to an athlete from Ulyanovsk.
Another of our compatriots, Ivan Rodionov, won an athlete from Yaroslavl in the first fight, but lost to an opponent from the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the semifinals and took third place.
