Trans-Baikal kickboxers won 63 medals at the Championship and Championship of the Far Eastern Federal District in kickboxing in the disciplines “light contact” and “point fighting”. This is the first team place, reported on April 5 in the telegram channel of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports of the Chita Administration.

Competitions were held from 1 to 2 April in Blagoveshchensk. About 300 kickboxers from Trans-Baikal, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories, Amur Region, Jewish Autonomous Okrug, Sakhalin and Buryatia competed for victory in them.

The national team of our region has 23 gold, 22 silver and 18 bronze medals. Point fighting discipline: 12 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze. According to the “light contact”: 11, 9 and 4 medals, respectively.

In addition, two athletes from the Trans-Baikal Kickboxing Federation took part in the “Nadezhda” tournament for children aged 8-9, which took place there. The guys took one gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

Federation President Dmitry Fedorov called the result excellent, although he admitted that he expected five more gold medals. He said that Transbaikalians consistently win prizes at these competitions, “and stability is a sign of mastery.”

Recallearlier the President of the Russian Federation awarded the freestyle wrestling coach from the Mogoytuysky district Dugarzhap Zhargalov the honorary title “Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation.”
