The pace of housing construction in Russia in per capita terms is ahead of similar indicators in China, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said during a speech at the Russia exhibition and forum.
According to Khusnullin, 103 million square meters were built in Russia last year. m of housing is the highest rate of housing commissioning in the entire history of the country.
“Never in the Soviet Union or in recent history have we built so much housing. And I would like to say, by the way, that in terms of housing construction per capita we are building more than China. We covered a very good topic on construction,” he said.
By 2030, Russia sets a goal to build 1 billion square meters. m of housing, added the Deputy Prime Minister. Thus, every fifth house in the country will be new, and each family will have an additional room, he explained.
