The first new span of the automobile part of the Crimean bridge was pushed onto the installation site on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin said.
In his telegram-canada, Khusnullin wrote: “We have completed the sliding of the first span of the road part of the Crimean bridge.” The Deputy Prime Minister specified that the builders used transverse sliding. Thanks to this, the span was installed in the shortest possible time.
The entire thrusting operation, “thanks to the precise and well-coordinated work of specialists,” took 12 hours, Khusnullin noted.
Installation of the next span is scheduled for November 11, he noted.
Transportation of the first finished span of the bridge on a multi-wheeled self-propelled module began on Monday.
On the morning of October 8, a truck was blown up on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge. After the explosion, fuel rail tanks caught fire, two spans of the two-lane roadbed leading from Krasnodar to Kerch collapsed. The reverse branch remained intact.
The ICR opened a criminal case under the article “terrorism”.
Already in the evening of October 8, the movement of passenger cars along the surviving automobile thread, as well as trains, resumed.
At the same time, the bridge was closed for trucks. The movement of trucks through the Kerch Strait is possible along the land route through the new regions of Russia, through the ferry crossing. In addition, it is possible to carry out transshipment to rail transport.
The government of the Russian Federation instructed to complete the restoration of the transport and engineering infrastructure of the Crimean bridge by December 1, 2023.
Khusnullin said that the repair of the destroyed automobile part of the bridge would be completed in December this year.
