Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that it is planned to launch freight traffic on the Crimean bridge by Saturday evening, October 15. According to him, trucks will be inspected before entering the bridge.
“By tomorrow evening, we expect to strengthen the existing supports, and we will most likely already begin to let trucks through,” Mr. Khusnullin said during the Road 2022 forum in Kazan (quote from Interfax).
Freight traffic on the Crimean bridge was suspended October 8 due to the explosion, which led to the partial destruction of the roadbed of the bridge, damage to the railway infrastructure and human casualties. The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, promised earlier that the launch of freight traffic would take place on October 16.
