Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin told reporters that the program for relocating emergency housing, planned in 2018, will be fully implemented in 2024 ahead of schedule. According to him, a new program will be launched this year.
“We received money for advanced financing. <...> And this year we must launch a new program for the resettlement of emergency housing until 2030,” he said at the “Russia” exhibition and forum (quoted by Interfax).
The current program for the resettlement of emergency housing stock, designed until 2024, includes buildings recognized as emergency before January 1, 2017. In 2023, a new program was launched to resettle houses recognized as unsafe during the period from January 1, 2017 to January 1, 2022.
In November 2023, the head of the Ministry of Construction, Irek Faizullin, promised President Vladimir Putin that the department would practically complete the program for relocating emergency housing in 2023. Then he reported that in 14 regions of the Russian Federation the resettlement plan had been fully implemented; in 2023, such a plan was to be completed in 36 regions. According to Mr. Faizullin, by 2024 there will be 74 thousand units of emergency housing prescribed for resettlement.
