A group of deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation has developed a bill that provides for the introduction of criminal liability for violation of the requirements for anti-terrorist protection of buildings and territories. This was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Alexander Khinshtein in his Telegram channel.
“For violation of the requirements for anti-terrorist protection of facilities, it is necessary to introduce criminal liability,” the deputy wrote.
It is proposed to introduce a new article in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Khinshtein noted that if a violation of this law negligently caused grievous bodily harm from 1 million rubles, then the violator will face up to 3 years in prison, and in the event of death – up to 5 years in prison, in the event of the death of two or more persons – up to 7 years.
According to the deputy, the relevant bill has already been supported by the government of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Court.
