The black-and-greens performed well during the current stage of the championship and earned a promotion to the class, securing their promotion to the Silver Division of the Second League “A” one round before the end of the stage. Last weekend, Khimik beat Dynamo St. Petersburg in an away match, which was the main victory for the black and green, which gave the team from Dzerzhinsk a promotion to a higher level.
In the final match of 2023, Khimik will face another team from St. Petersburg. The black-and-greens, having lost their tournament motivation, will fight against St. Petersburg’s Zvezda, which is in 11th place after 16 matches. A strong team, which last season claimed to qualify for the First League, has fallen apart during the current championship and dropped to the middle of the standings.
