The deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, said that a referendum on self-determination in the region will take place, despite the position of the United States.
According to him, Washington should not interfere in the affairs of the Kherson region.
“We are not a US colony, and all these statements made without taking into account the opinion of the American people have nothing to do with us,” Stremrousov said.
He urged the United States to think “how many countries they have made their colonies and how many orphaned and impoverished people they left behind.”
And the referendum, as he stressed, “will take place, regardless of the position of the Americans, who are better off not interfering in our affairs.”
Also, the deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region drew attention to the fact that the territories liberated as part of the military special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine “will always be free as part of one big united Russia.”
“We ourselves deal with our culture and our future, which is inevitably connected with the Russian Federation,” he added.
