Khakass wrestler took gold at the All-Russian competitions in Irkutsk

Timur Chepshigashev from Khakassia became the winner of the All-Russian competition in Greco-Roman wrestling, – informs press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.

Sports event dedicated to the memory of the Olympic champion K.G. Vyrupaev, took place from 1 to 2 October in Irkutsk. The tournament was attended by men from 8 regions of the country: all – Siberian, except for Primorsky Krai.

Timur Chepshigashev, a native of the Askizsky district, represented not only Khakassia, but also the Krasnoyarsk Territory at the competitions. He had an excellent fight and became the winner in his weight category – up to 87 kg.

The department notes that the young man trains under the guidance of Vladimir Pokoyakov and Gennady Borgoyakov.
