However, it was foolish to hope that the Khabarovsk SKA will go through this championship without any defeats at all. This did not happen even with Yuryev’s golden “dream team” in his best years in Khabarovsk. The main thing is that the coaching staff of the army team should draw the necessary conclusions and help the players overcome the difficulties that have arisen.
In this regard, the next game in Kazan was supposed to be a kind of touchstone. The main question that the fans asked the team was whether the army team would be able to get together, correct mistakes and give a fight to Ak Bars-Dynamo or continue to fall. In the fifth minute, Vladimir Kalanchin, who broke through the barrage orders of Kazan, opened the scoring. The hosts learned their lesson and did not allow such mistakes in defense anymore. And the Khabarovsk team didn’t get corners again. So the first half ended with the score 0:1. Unfortunately, the Khabarovsk team couldn’t score any more, thanks at least they didn’t concede.
It is not known what Mikhail Pashkin said to the players during the break, but the second half was very different from the first. SKA finally began to demonstrate good movement, and the fans breathed a sigh of relief – the familiar SKA-Neftyanik returned to the ice. The second game segment was marked by a whole scattering of goals. At the 50th minute Vladimir Kalanchin scored again, at the 56th minute the captain Yuri Shardakov scored, and literally half a minute later Nikita Ivanov. When the advantage in the set became significant, the Khabarovsk team lowered the intensity of the game a little, but still continued to score.
Yuri Shardakov scored a brace in the 71st minute, and then he scored a hat-trick in the 87th minute by converting a 12-meter free kick against Ak Bars-Dynamo. Characteristically, in this game, SKA Khabarovsk did not repeat their mistakes in defense, leaving Viktor Kamenev’s gate intact. And at the same time, it cannot be said that the Kazan team did not try to change this situation. A dry victory in the capital of Tatarstan with a 6-0 mom set is what the Khabarovsk team needs now. Physiological downturns are well treated with a moral uplift.
