Khabarovsk military commissar dismissed after the return of half of the mobilized

Half of the mobilized residents of the Khabarovsk Territory were called up by mistake, said Governor Mikhail Degtyarev. According to him, now they have all returned home. The head of the region said that military commissar Yuri Laiko had been removed from his post.

“In ten days, several thousand of our fellow countrymen received summons and arrived at the military registration and enlistment offices, and we returned about half of them home, as they did not meet the selection criteria for entering military service under the contract. <...> All facts of inflection must be suppressed. Further, the military commissar of the Khabarovsk Territory, Yuri Sergeevich Laiko, has been removed from his post today. This will in no way affect the fulfillment of the tasks that the president has set for us,” Mr. Degtyarev said at the meeting. Video posted in Telegram channel.

Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization on 21 September. He argued that first of all, those who served in the ranks of the armed forces, who have certain military specialties and relevant experience, will be subject to conscription.
