So Amur started the next period with a one-player advantage.

Another thing is that Khabarovsk residents did not take advantage of the gift. In some moments it was dangerous, in others not so much, but the puck didn’t go into the goal. And, of course, the hosts’ goalkeeper, Anton Krasotkin, played well. Nevertheless, the constant pressure on the opponent bore fruit. Already in equal numbers, in the 25th minute, Petr Khokhryakov opens the scoring in this match. An interception in his own zone, a breakthrough into the opponent’s zone, a powerful shot at Kirill Slepts’ goal and finishing off number 62 of “Amur”.

Nerves made themselves felt, and in the 28th minute, during the attack of “Amur”, which was trying to build on the success, defender Fedor Gordeev powerfully attacked Kirill Slepts from the back. The act of the newcomer to the Novosibirsk team did not leave Yakov Rylov indifferent, who stood up for his comrade and received his two minutes in the box for rudeness. Well, the referees carefully studied the attack of the Sibir defender on the video replay and gave Gordeev the full score – 5+20. But, again, “Amur” failed to take advantage of the majority.

The third period, like overtime, did not reveal a winner. Everything was decided in a shootout. And here the Khabarovsk team turned out to be more accurate.

I really appreciate this chance. When you wait so long, you want to do everything to bring victory to the team. It doesn’t even matter how you play. It’s a thrill to play both in Omsk and Novosibirsk. There are new cool arenas here. I’ve known Anton Krasotkin since I was 12 years old, but I wouldn’t say that there was a fundamental duel with him. It was hard to forget the match with Avangard, but I tried to contain my emotions. I came out with a clear head, as if I had played my first game again. The match was equal, emotions were running high. I am happy with the result and that we are returning home. 50 percent of points on the road is not bad. I concentrated more on the game of my team. “Sibir” still has aggression in attack from last season. I wish Trevor Murphy, with whom I worked together, to return to duty. The youth who started a year ago are getting stronger. We focused on the fact that the guys in defense are young. We were successful in pressing. We have achieved the desired result. We weren’t cut off; in the middle zone we played according to instructions. Rylov did the right thing in standing up for his partner, who was hit in the back.
