The first period turned out to be very stubborn. “Avtomobilist” immediately took the initiative and did not want to give it up, but the further, the more “Amur” owned the puck and created chances at the opponent’s goal, in which Evgeniy Alikin, well known to Khabarovsk residents, stood. Dmitry Lozebnikov played in our frame – he unexpectedly “shot” in the KHL. And we must pay tribute to the goalkeeper – he looked no worse than the experienced Alikin. The Khabarovsk team, without further ado, also periodically disturbed Evgeniy Alikin, but “Avto” still looked preferable in attack. In the end, in the 56th minute, Brooks Macek managed to unseal Dmitry Lozebnikov. In four minutes, neither team nor the other was able to take the lead, and the game went into overtime. The Khabarovsk team started with a minority – a minute before the final siren, Yakov Rylov threw the puck very unsuccessfully, and it flew into the stands.

The minority defended, although it was very difficult – Avtomobilist removed the goalkeeper, releasing another fielder for the majority. But when “Amur” began to play at full strength, the hosts had a hitch when replacing the goalkeeper, and now the Khabarovsk team gained an advantage, which, however, they were also unable to take advantage of. The winner was revealed by a series of shootouts. Only after the sixth shot did Avtomobilist manage to score and, unfortunately for the Khabarovsk team, it was the winning goal. The result of the match is 2:1 in favor of the team from Yekaterinburg. “Amur” scores one point.

“The game was equal for two periods, in the third the opponents added more, they pressed us, we fought back, the goalkeeper was good. There are complaints about the attack, we score critically few goals, it’s a disgrace. I suggest calling our attackers and asking them. We scored goals there, we had shots, but I don’t see any effect from them yet. Our calendar is fun: everyone has a couple of days off before us, and we have our fourth game in a week on the trip. It’s hard for the guys, I’m grateful for the good dedication. I haven’t set up the team in any way, there are enough revenge seekers in the locker room, they prepare themselves. I’m an adult, I work in another team, I don’t have revengeful sentiments,” he emphasized at the post-match press conference Andrey Martemyanov, head coach of HC Amur.

In its turn, Avtomobilist mentor criticized his team for the “difficult” way out from under pressure and slow decision-making, when the situation was turned around only in the third period.

Now “Amur” returns to Khabarovsk, where on Sunday, October 8, they will play against Lada Tolyatti. The home series will include four matches – two with Togliatti and two more with Ak Bars.
