Kettlebell lifting championship took place in Smolensk

An open kettlebell lifting championship took place at the comprehensive sports school No. 1 in Smolensk. 112 people took part in the competition. Teams of weightlifters from the city of Smolensk, Dorogobuzhsky, Krasninsky, Glinkovsky districts and Bryansk region also performed. Athletes competed for the titles of the strongest in their weight categories.
Girls also took part in competitions. The youngest participant in the championship was Ekaterina Dreike, who competed in the weight category up to 48 kg. with weights 8 kg. in the snatch with a result of 219 lifts.
Based on the results of the performances, 1st place in the team competition for weightlifters was taken by the comprehensive sports school No. 1, 2nd place by the Military Academy of Military Air Defense named after. A.M. Vasilevsky, 3rd place – the team from the Bryansk region.
The winners and prize-winners of the championship were awarded diplomas from the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Smolensk City Administration, medals and memorable prizes.
