By winning the world junior title in -100 kg, on August 13 in Ecuador, Kenny Liveze (19) also won his selection for the Senior Worlds, organized from October 6 to 13 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The member of the ACBB will compete in his first World Championships “with the big boys”.
Objective: rejuvenate the troops before Paris 2024
He will not be the only French junior since Romain Valadier-Picard (19) had already obtained his ticket thanks to his third place at the Budapest Grand Slam in mid-July (-60 kg). Acquired by their performance on the tatami, these selections also enter into the direction desired by the selection committee of the French Federation which aspires to rejuvenate the troops and thus give young people a chance in the run-up to the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
Kenny Liveze’s selection completes the composition of the French men’s delegation selected for the Worlds; the feminine, where the hierarchy is much more established, being closed since June.
The French men’s team is currently training in Soustons (Landes), the women’s in Houlgate (Normandy).
