“Kemus mas” – results of the first day of mas-wrestling competitions

On the first day of the Yakutsk open mas-wrestling championship “Kemus mas” at the Modun sports complex, new leaders were identified in a number of weight categories. These athletes are now targeting the republican championship. The stellar line-up of participants made the competition especially interesting, as among them were world champions, the Manchaara Games and the Dygyn Games. One of the star participants of the tournament, Vyacheslav Dyakonov, successfully passed through the competition, becoming a bronze medalist in the up to 80 kg category. His plans include participation in the republican championship and achieving success at the world level. Ivan Shologonov became the vice-champion in this category.
The winner in the up to 60 kg category, young Arylkhan Egorov, who defeated the current world champion Dmitry Neustroev, became a sensation. In the category up to 70 kg, Eduard Boyarov became the leader. The legendary Viktor Dokalov returned to competition, and the weight up to 105 kg became the central fight for him and Innokenty Fedorov. But Dokalov was able to win a landslide victory.
In women’s under 75 kg, Marina Fedorenko and Svetlana Molukova met, repeating the final of the 2014 World Championship. Marina Fedorenko wins with a minimum score of 2:1. Anastasia Alekseeva won in the up to 50 kg category, and Irina Alekseeva won in the up to 60 kg category.
Among the veterans up to 65 kg, Dmitry Berezkin became the winner, and in the category up to 85 kg, Maxim Markov, the world champion among veterans, won the gold medal.
