The Kuban Cossack troops threatened to boycott the festival of Cossack culture “Alexander’s Fortress” if the singer Manizha, who had previously expressed a negative assessment of the SVO, was allowed to attend, reports “Lenta.ru”.
The message on the official website of the organization says: “If this fact is confirmed, the Cossacks of the Kuban Cossack Army will not take part in the organization and conduct of the festival.”
At the same time, the Cossacks, in principle, expressed in their statement “strong condemnation” of the possibility of inviting performers who speak out against the decisions of the president and the absolute majority of the country’s inhabitants.
