Kazakhstani hockey players became the winners of the junior ice hockey world championship

As reported Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federationin the final match of the tournament, Kazakh hockey players defeated the Icelandic team – 7:0.

The pucks were scored by Sofia Zubkova (16, 19 and 37 minutes), Madianna Nusupova (22 minutes), Anastasia Filimonova (28 minutes) and Sofia Rakovskaya (34 and 58 minutes).

Earlier, our athletes won four victories in a row at the junior world championship. They defeated Bulgaria (8:1), New Zealand (7:1), Belgium (5:3) and Estonia (8:0).

Thus, the women’s team of Kazakhstan under 18 became the world champion in the second division of group B.

The final standings of group B of the second division looks like this: Kazakhstan – 15 points, Belgium – 11 points, Iceland – 9 points, New Zealand – 6 points, Bulgaria – 4 points, Estonia – 0 points.
