At the meeting, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic to provide simplified entry for foreigners with popular specialties.

“The Ministry of Labor, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, needs to ensure simplified entry into the country for foreign citizens who have specialties in demand in the country or successful business projects abroad, in order to further realize their potential in Kazakhstan,” leads his words “Interfax”.

The head of government also instructed to ensure the attraction of promising foreign businessmen and IT specialists to Kazakhstan.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Tamara Duysenova during the meeting, in turn toldthat the department has been working since July to attract foreign specialists to the republic. Persons with specialties from the approved list can apply for a residence permit in a simplified manner, she explained.

In January Kazakhstan restricted up to 90 days during each period of 180 calendar days visa-free stay on its territory for citizens of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Prior to the changes, there was no restriction of 180 days from the date of crossing the state border of the country for those who came to Kazakhstan without a visa. Thanks to this, migrants whose term of stay in the country was coming to an end could leave it and return back, “resetting the counter”.
