Kaspersky Lab found spyware in employees’ iPhones

Several dozen iPhone smartphones of Kaspersky Lab employees were infected with technologically sophisticated spyware, which was previously unknown to specialists. This was announced on Thursday, June 1, by the head of the company Evgeny Kaspersky.
It was found that this program quietly transmitted microphone recordings, photos from instant messengers, location and other data of the owner of the infected device to remote servers.
Smartphones were infected using an invisible iMessage message with a malicious attachment. A vulnerability in iOS was used to install spyware.
To restore the phone, you need to reset it to factory settings – you can not save the data in this case.
Earlier, Kaspersky Lab warned of a wave of attacks on corporate users in several countries, including Russia. Criminals send letters to potential victims on behalf of people with whom they have already corresponded before. The subject of the email indicates that it contains a link to an important audio recording, information about a meeting, or details on a real project. In fact, malware is hiding behind the link – Trojan downloader PikaBot.
