PMC “Wagner” finally ceased to exist and was disbanded. This was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kartapolov in a conversation with “Parliamentary newspaper”.

He emphasized that now this private company no longer exists, either formally or physically, but some ex-employees of the organization continue to perform tasks.

According to him, a huge number of former Wagnerites are “burning with the desire” to continue to carry out combat missions to protect Russia. Kartapolov noted that all of them are now volunteers, and some have signed a contract with the Russian army or joined the Russian Guard.

In addition, the head of the State Duma Defense Committee clarified that the entry of former Wagner fighters is not a centralized process.
